ECHA: CoRAP 2018-2020 med 108 ämnen (inklusive kosmetikaingredienser) uppdaterad

EU:s kemikaliemyndighet ECHA har uppdaterat Draft Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP)  för åren 2018-2020. Ämnena som adderas till CoRAP misstänks kunna innebära en risk för människans hälsa eller för miljön och är föremål för en kommande riskbedömning enligt REACH. Anledningen till listning framgår nedan, men beror antingen på CMR-klassificering eller miljöklassificering alternativt potentiellt hormonstörande egenskaper. CMR-klassificering är applicerbar för kosmetiska produkter genom artikel 15 i Kosmetikförordningen.

Kosmetikbranschen har noterat att ett antal av dessa kan användas i kosmetiska produkter. Ärendet om de listade ämnena i CoRAP för 2018-2020 diskuteras i Cosmetics Europes expertgrupp under våren.

  • Ingredienser i kosmetiska produkter kan av miljömässig hänsyn begränsas genom REACH, medan kosmetiklagstiftningen endast begränsar av hälsomässig hänsyn.
  • Listning i CoRAP innebär inte i sig förbud.
  • Reglerna om marknadsföringspåståenden och vilseledande marknadsföring gäller självfallet även här (se om Skälighet och nedsättande påståenden).
